Some of the best events to look forward to this year

Experience a shopper’s paradise

Brighton is a wonderful place to shop for gifts as the streets are filled with an endless array of boutique stores. Best of all, the high streets come alive at Christmas with rows of lights and it truly is an area filled with festive joy as everyone races to pick up their final Christmas presents.

If you’re staying in Brighton over Christmas day, then you HAVE to attend the morning swim! You don’t have to join in, but the atmosphere is incredible as the Brighton Swimming Club head next to the pier and are cheered into the chilly December waters.

The Royal Pavilion Ice Rink actually opens as early as November 3rd. Providing plenty of chance for you to head out for a fun skate any time during your Christmas visit.

Join in the fun on Smuggler’s Night

Each December, for one night only, the Rottingdean Smugglers Club host their famous Smugglers Night. This sees them organising hundreds of smugglers and pirates parading with torches through Rottingdean (just down the road from Brighton). It’s a local tradition which thousands attend and it ends in a fantastic firework display.
